Updates for All Clarity Users: Referrals & Surgical Orders
Icon Legend - In the top right corner of the screen, you will see a new link called Legend. Click on this link to open a legend of all icons in Clarity, including helpful descriptions.
New User Setting – Under Manage Account select your preference for Expanding or Collapsing all sections when viewing a referral or surgical order. Click on the blue category text Default Record View to toggle between Expand All and Collapse All.
Updates to Flagged Comments – Unnecessary flags have been removed. If the Clarity Service Center uploads a Return Report on behalf of the Specialist, the Specialist will not receive a flagged comment. If the Referring Practice uploads a Return Report for a referral, this will not result in a Flagged Comment.
Updates for Outbound Referral Users
Missing Telephone Numbers - A Referring Practices will see a pop-up message when attempting to submit a referral without a Home Phone, Work Phone or Cell Phone number. Please click Cancel to return to the referral to provide at least one phone number for the patient.
Electronic Signature Updates – If your Referring Provider has a Signature Addendum on file with Clarity, All Outbound referrals will contain a statement indicating and faxes will contain a statement about the order being electronically signed in Clarity.
Updates for Inbound Users
Ability to view Draft referrals – On the Home screen, the Draft category will now include referrals that have been saved by the Referring Provider, but not yet submitted to Clarity. You may send a flagged comment to the Referring Provider’s office on these referrals.
Note: This category will also store any Referral Requests or Inbound Referrals that the Specialists office has created and Saved as Draft.
Other Minor Updates & Bug Fixes
• Email Notifications– Emails can now be delivered to email addresses external to ClarityHealth.com
• Documents added to HL7 Referrals – when documents are added to an HL7-created referral, the documents are now faxed to specialists in our directory that receive faxes
• Backdated Appointments – When entering today’s date as the Scheduled Date for a referral, you will no longer see a warning message stating this is a backdated appointment.
• Reporting Access – We fixed a bug where the wrong reports were being displayed to Outbound and Inbound users.
• Searching by DOB – We improved the performance of the Search feature when searching by Date of Birth
