Outbound Referral Users
1. If an attachment is added to a Processed referral, Clarity will automatically fax the new attachments with a cover sheet to any providers that are not Clarity Connected. You no longer need to flag the CSC to request us to forward new attachments. A timestamp of the new fax will be stored in the Comments section of the Referral Summary screen.
2. We have made improvements to the buttons in the Add Referral Wizard. The Back, Next, Save as Draft and Done buttons now act consistently on all screens. Back will always take you to the last screen you were working on. Next will always take you to the next step of the Referral Wizard. Save as Draft will take you to the Referral Summary screen. Done will only show up on the Referral Summary screen, and it’ll take you to the Clarity home screen or the worklist, depending on your Account Settings. Also, the Confirmation Page, which shows up immediately after you have submitted a referral, has been removed from Clarity. Instead you’ll be taken to the Home Screen or the Outbound Worklist, where you can initiate a new referral.
3. We’ve updated the Select a Specialist page in the Add Referral Wizard.
a. You can now search for a provider name or a practice name using the same search box. The Add a Specialist button has moved to appear below the search box.
b. We’ve removed the “last 10” radio button and replaced it with a new section called Frequent Providers. This section will show the Providers and Practices that the Referring Provider has selected the most in the last 120 days, sorted by the number of referrals. Click on any entry to instantly select that specialist or practice.
4. Outbound Users will now have the ability to attach Return Reports using two new buttons at the bottom of the screen. When a return report is attached, it’ll appear in the Attachments Section under a new category called “Return Report.” Please attach return reports using these new buttons to avoid the attachment from being auto-faxed per feature #1.
Inbound Referral Users
5. For those of you opting into our transcription service for inbound referrals:
a. We now display the Clarity Connected icon on the Inbound Worklist and the Referral Summary for Inbound users.
b. We now display a red message in the Comments section when the Referring Practice is not online.
c. We now fax Return Reports to Referring Providers who are not Clarity Connected so that you can now be assured that your reports will reach the referring provider.
6. When Inbound users attach a Return Report, it will also be categorized in the new “Return Report” category.

7. Anytime you would like to fax an attachment to Clarity using our barcoded coversheet, we now have a HIPAA disclaimer at the bottom of the page.
