We added document types for "Insurance Request Forms" and for "Results and Status". The former includes the various forms that some payers require to provide authorizations. We keep them as a record of the work with the payer, but they do not get sent to the specailist (or service provider).
The Results and Status category includes all reports or studies returned from the specailist or service provider. With a separate category, it is easier for the referring office to determine which documents have come from the consultant, and were not a part of the original clinical document set sent out with the referral.
