INFORMATION ABOUT MINORS

The Site is not targeted toward minors under the age of 18. Clarity does not knowingly permit registration or submission of personally identifiable information by anyone under the age of 13.

HOW WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

Clarity may collect information through your active submission of information through the Site, or passively through use of automated technologies.

Active Information Collection – Submission Through Site

Much of the personally identifiable information we collect from our visitors is submitted voluntarily in response to our specific requests for such information. For example, visitors may provide us with personal information to sign up for our newsletter or in response to polls or other interactivity incorporated into the Site. We do not require users to provide any more information than necessary to participate in the related activity.

The information we actively collect from you may include some or all of the following: name, date of birth, address, email address, username, password and/or gender. We may also collect information about the company or organization with which you are affiliated.

For some of our online activities - such as polls or surveys - we may ask users to provide information that is not personally identifiable, such as country of residence, hobbies or feedback or suggestions for the Site.

Passive Information Collection

As you navigate through the Site, other information may be collected through use of technologies which are common among websites and online environments. For example, we currently track Internet protocol (“IP”) addresses, which is a unique string of numbers assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider.

We also use “cookies,” which are small pieces of information or files that a website puts on your computer when you explore the Site. The cookies we use allow us to collect, store and sometimes track information about your use of the Site or to save your settings (such as your username and password) or provide a customized experience.

In addition to our active information collection efforts, we may also use technology to gather operational information about the technology you use, such as your browser, type of computer, operating systems and Internet service providers. This information cannot be used to identify you personally.

WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?

We never sell or rent your personal information without your consent. However, Clarity may release personal information under the following circumstances:
• Where release is required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation or is requested by a government agency; or
• To appropriate persons, where your communication suggests possible harm to others.

CHOICES REGARDING THE USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

• How to Discontinue Receiving Clarity Email Publications. To stop receiving Clarity email publications, use the unsubscribe link on an email you receive, or send Clarity an email to unsubscribe@scisolutions.com with the word “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line.
• How to Access and Update User Information. For information on updating and/or managing your account, send an email to csc@scisolutions.com with your request.

SECURITY PRACTICES

Clarity endeavors to protect online information according to applicable laws and established company security standards and practices. We have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information under our control, and we continually evaluate new technologies for safeguarding your information. However, we cannot guarantee the confidentiality or security of electronic transmissions via the Internet because they may potentially use unsecure computers and links, and data may be lost or intercepted by unauthorized parties during such transmission. If you wish to submit personal or confidential information by a more secure means of communication, please contact us.

Sensitive information you provide to us online is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is the leading security protocol for data transfer on the Internet. This technology scrambles your account information as it moves between your PC's browser and Clarity's computer systems. When information is scrambled, or encrypted in this way, it becomes nearly impossible for anyone other than Clarity to read it. This secure session helps protect the safety and confidentiality of your information when you interact with Clarity online.
